Memorial Hall
Memorial Hall and Recreation Ground
Located at the heart of the thriving community of Newton Toney, the Memorial Hall and Recreation Ground are owned by the village for the village.
The Memorial Hall is an ideal space for residents to gather for meetings, events and activities. Past and present uses include fitness and wellbeing sessions, educational talks, antique valuations, creative classes, and social gatherings such as our popular village café and monthly quiz nights. We are also home of the Four Villages Horticultural Society.
The Hall and Recreation Ground are available for private hire for social occasions such as parties and weddings. The Hall is also ideal for fitness classes and other recreational activities. To enquire about availability please contact our bookings secretary at bookings@newton-toney-village.org.uk.
Facilities
Main Hall
Great for large events with space for up to 120 people standing, 100 seated or 78 people for functions using table and chairs. A stage is also available on request.
Servery/Refreshment Area
Located at the rear of the Main Hall with a large serving counter and sink unit. Equipped with a large water heating urn, 3 electric kettles, fridge, dish washer and crockery.
Kitchen
Well equipped with a domestic size cooker with double oven, a microwave oven, refrigerator and a small freezer. There is a double sink with electric water heater, worktop space and a serving hatch to the Main Hall.
Hire costs
Our hire charges cover use of the main hall, servery/refreshment area and kitchen. The facilities are available between the hours of 8am to midnight, 7 days a week.
We charge a flat £18 per hour with a minimum 4 hour hire period. Prices effective 1 April 2025.
Discounted rates are available for regular bookings and charitable organisations.
